INITIATIVES
MAKING OUR WORLD A BETTER PLACE
For a successful and sustainable transformation, it is essential that we have a clear and precise understanding of the scope of our activities. At S.T. Dupont, we are fully aware of our responsibility as a company for all activities throughout our value chain. We are convinced that transparency and traceability will help us identify and implement the necessary actions to shape a more sustainable ecosystem.
Transparency and traceability are fundamental pillars of our sustainable approach. By understanding every step of our value chain, we can take informed and effective measures to reduce our environmental impact and promote ethical practices throughout our supply chain.
Our House is committed to rigorously applying the Business Conduct Standards, the Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC), the Raw Materials Sourcing Policy, the Purchasing Policy, and the Human Rights Statement. These codes and policies ensure the consistency of our commitments regarding business ethics, labor and human rights, and environmental protection, across all our activities and business relationships.
This set of codes ensures that we maintain high standards of ethical conduct and respect for human rights. In parallel, our environmental policies guide us in reducing our ecological footprint and protecting natural resources.
VALUE CHAIN
MONITORING OUR VALUE CHAIN
At S.T. Dupont, our Sourcing Policy aims to enable us to understand every link in our precious stone and metal supply chain, from mining to retail, by working towards better traceability throughout these stages.
We strive to maintain strong relationships with trusted suppliers and know all our suppliers and subcontractors working with gold. This in-depth knowledge of our supply chain allows us to guarantee the quality and integrity of our materials while adhering to strict ethical standards.
We aim to implement an annually monitored and documented "Know Your Counterparty" (KYC) system to gain precise knowledge of our partners and their respective supply chains. This system will ensure full transparency and close collaboration with partners who share our values.
We encourage our suppliers to make joint efforts that benefit the greatest number.
GOLD PURCHASE
GOLD AND PRECIOUS STONES
At S.T. Dupont, all purchased diamonds comply with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) and the System of Warranties (SoW), ensuring that no rough diamonds purchased originate from conflict and high-risk zones.
Our commitment to responsible practices is demonstrated by our active membership in the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) since 2008. We have held the organization's Code of Practices (COP) certification since 2012, reflecting our ongoing commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
We implement the RJC's provisions and uphold its principles throughout our diamond, gold, and platinum supply chain. This ensures that our suppliers and subcontractors respect human rights, labor law, and the environment.
By promoting these ethical practices, we ensure that every gemstone used in our creations is acquired responsibly, respecting both people and the planet. Our rigorous sourcing policy and commitment to transparency strengthen the trust of our customers and partners.
LEATHER SOURCING
LEATHER Products
At S.T. Dupont, we make it a point of honor to reduce our carbon footprint and adopt the strictest standards for leather sourcing.
All our bovine leathers come from European suppliers. This origin not only guarantees the exceptional quality of our materials, but also compliance with the highest environmental and ethical standards.
To ensure animal welfare and reduce our environmental impact, we collaborate with the Leather Working Group (LWG) and the International Crocodilian Farmers Association (ICFA). These partnerships enable us to ensure full traceability and promote sustainable practices in our supply chain.
We scrupulously respect the regulations of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). Our alligator leather straps come from the species Alligator Mississippiensis (American alligator), in accordance with the provisions of CITES Appendix II. This compliance ensures that our products meet international standards for species conservation and protection.
S.T. Dupont is committed to responsible practices in all aspects of its leather sourcing. By adhering to the strictest standards and collaborating with recognized organizations, we ensure the quality and integrity of our products while protecting the environment and animals.
Our pillars
Our sustainability efforts focus on three main pillars: environment, people, and sourcing.
