S.T. Dupont x Fender: A Rock 'n' Roll Celebration of Craftsmanship

Preserving the essence of what makes Maison S.T. Dupont unique, the brand unveils an exceptional collaboration with Fender, where French craftsmanship meets the rebellious spirit of rock.

A source of inspiration in Tokyo

When the most iconic guitar brand opens its doors in Tokyo's vibrant Harajuku district, it's not just an event: it's a source of inspiration. To celebrate the inauguration of the Fender flagship store, S.T. Dupont and Fender unite once again in an unprecedented collaboration.

The art of kintsugi meets the soul of rock

This collection is much more than a tribute to music. It's a dialogue between strings, lacquer, and light—a reinterpretation of Fender's legendary Stratocaster® and Mustang® through the ancient Japanese art of kintsugi. This philosophy, which repairs broken porcelain with lacquer and gold powder, transforms imperfections into singular beauty. It echoes S.T. Dupont's mastery in the manual application of gold powder: imperfection becomes strength, tradition becomes innovation.

Tribute to iconic legends

At the heart of this collaboration lies a deep respect for artisans and artists alike. Just as master luthiers and goldsmiths craft their creations with precision, legends such as Eric Clapton and Kurt Cobain have transformed the guitar into a cultural icon. Two exclusive lines embody this heritage: the "Black & Golden" series, a nod to the Stratocaster® in its classic black finish, and the "Blue & Golden" series, inspired by Cobain's Mustang® in the unforgettable music video Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Objects of desire: Ligne 2 and Line D Eternity

S.T. Dupont's art of goldsmithing finds new resonance with the Ligne 2 lighter and the Line D Eternity writing instrument. Their bold lines evoke the neck and strings of a guitar, while a new guilloché pattern recalls the golden veins of kintsugi. Even the pen's clip becomes a guitar bridge, merging design and detail. Each piece is accompanied by a chrome pick pendant, engraved with the Fender silhouette—a functional talisman for today's rock enthusiasts.

Beyond the stage: accessories and leather goods

The collection extends to accessories and leather goods. Kintsugi-inspired guilloché and lacquer meet a textured gray canvas, a nod to Fender's famous tweed cases. The Access range, meanwhile, revisits the Maison's essentials—Biggy, Slimmy, and Twiggy lighters, as well as the Initial ballpoint pen—adorned with the Stratocaster silhouette on a black lacquer background.

A Stratocaster like no other

The collaboration culminates with an exceptional instrument: the limited-edition S.T. Dupont Stratocaster® Made in Japan. A true jewel of refinement and audacity, it features a hand-applied golden sparkle finish. Beneath the pickguard hides a compartment designed to house a Fender Ligne 2 lighter, while the vibrato arm reveals S.T. Dupont's emblematic guilloché pattern. With its alder body, maple neck, inlaid ebony fingerboard, and exclusive humbuckers developed for this model, it offers powerful sound and remarkable aesthetics.

When craftsmanship meets legend

Expertise, character, and creativity unite in the S.T. Dupont x Fender collaboration. Both a tribute to tradition and a bold affirmation of the rock spirit, it reminds us that true art—whether expressed in sound, lacquer, or gold—transcends time.

An exceptional rock collection

True style icons, these creations pay homage to the energy of rock and the timeless elegance of craftsmanship. They celebrate the unique alliance between Fender and S.T. Dupont, where musical virtuosity meets French refinement. More than a collection, it is an invitation to boldly express one's passion, transforming every gesture into a creative act, every detail into a declaration of character.
