The New Classic: yesterday's elegance, today's modernity

Retaining the essence of what made it legendary, S.T. Dupont unveils the new Classique pen, a vibrant tribute to timelessness and exceptional craftsmanship.

Created for Jackie Kennedy: the birth of a legend

In 1962, Jackie Kennedy, First Lady of the United States, received a gift of rare elegance: a gold S.T. Dupont lighter, adorned with a discreet "J". This gift, signed by André Malraux, then Minister of Cultural Affairs for General de Gaulle, sealed a unique relationship between the French House and the American icon.

A few years later, Jackie Kennedy, now Jackie Onassis, made a singular request to S.T. Dupont: to create a pen as refined as her favorite lighter. At the time, the House did not yet produce writing instruments. But driven by its legendary audacity, it rose to the challenge.

Thus, in 1973, the very first S.T. Dupont pen was born. Designed in brass, adorned with a vertical guilloche inspired by the Line 1 lighter, the Classique immediately established itself as the world's first luxury ballpoint pen. Faceted and precious, it became Jackie Kennedy's favorite accessory and ushered in the Art of Writing according to S.T. Dupont.

The new Classique: sublimated heritage

Today, the new Classique reinvents the legend with respect and modernity. Its design retains the attributes that forged its success: vertical guillochage or a faceted body inspired by Jackie Kennedy's original, while adopting more assertive proportions.

Respecting the divine laws of the golden ratio, the New Classique offers superior writing comfort and a perfectly balanced in-hand experience.

The New Classique comes in five sumptuous colors and finishes, combining tradition and innovation. Each model features a smooth and silent rotation mechanism, a discreet signature of unparalleled quality.

An exceptional collection

True miniature works of art, these pens transform every writing gesture into an exceptional moment. More than ever, they reflect S.T. Dupont's commitment to preserving and reinventing the French Art of Living.
